Please be aware that this Warranty does not cover residue buildup, damage caused by propellant sprays, or accidental damage from drops.

It is important to keep the cooking surface clean to prevent food from sticking. For routine daily cleaning, use detergent and hot water to help loosen oil and food residue for easier removal. Use the sponge's green side (scouring pad) or a dishwashing brush, and scrub thoroughly to eliminate all oil and food residue. When pans become less non-stick, the culprit is almost always stubborn residue from oils or foods that build up slowly on the surface over time, so ensuring they get scrubbed clean and dried each time you use them prevents those residues from building up in the first place. Our cast-aluminum body pans (not those clad in stainless steel on the exterior) are perfectly safe to wash while they're still hot, and in fact, this will help steam off oils and food particles after cooking.
Our cookware features an aluminum core, essential for excellent heat conduction and retention-a key aspect of what makes our products unique! Importantly, the aluminum is fully encapsulated by another material, ensuring it never comes into contact with your food.
We use 100% recycled aluminum in all our squeeze-cast ranges, including Classic, Classic Induction, and Techniq. That aluminum could come from items like your cola can or the beer you enjoyed last Friday. Additionally, operating in Denmark means we adhere to strict manufacturing regulations. All our cookware (lids, handles and pans) is ovenproof to 260˚C. Watch your fingers and remember the oven glove when you take the product out of a hot oven!
SCANPAN cookware is dishwasher safe; please be advised that the harsh chemicals in some dishwashing detergents can shorten the product's lifespan. SCANPAN will always recommend hand washing to extend the product's useful lifespan.
SCANPAN cookware has many different design configurations, but they have more in common than you might think. There are two basic body constructions – squeeze cast aluminum (Classic, Classic Induction, and TechnIQ) and 5-ply stainless steel clad with an aluminum core (CS+ and HaptIQ).
There are also only two non-stick surface options. Still, they're variations on one another: STRATANIUM is our flagship surface (found on Classic, and Classic Induction), and STRATANIUM+ is our commercial-grade surface that is textured for optimal searing (found on HaptIQ, CS+ and TechnIQ). Beyond that, our lines are all far more similar than they are different.
Our cookware collections are suitable for induction cooking, including Classic Induction, TechnIQ, HaptIQ, CS+, Black Iron, Impact, Fusion 5, and the Maitre D’ Induction collection. However, the Classic collection is the only exception; it can only be used on gas, electric, or halogen stovetops.

Correctly heating your pans is all about timing, so if you choose to heat using high temperatures, make sure it's only for a few minutes at a time.
SCANPAN cookware is safe with metal utensils because the surface is 10 times harder than stainless steel. The ultra-hard surface encases the whole pan, protecting it from wear and tear. Over time, the surface may show cosmetic scuff marks, but these will not breach the surface or interfere with the pan's superior non-stick performance.
The STRATANIUM non-stick coating on high-wall items like pots and saucepans is primarily designed for boiling, simmering, and cooking dishes requiring longer cooking or involving acidic or salty ingredients. Their non-stick coating is slightly less effective than frying pans or sauté pans, which are specifically engineered for frying and searing.
If you seek consistent non-stick performance across all types of cookware, we recommend our STRATANIUM+ range (e.g., TechnIQ, CS+ and HaptIQ). This range offers the same non-stick coating on all items, including pots, providing excellent frying capabilities even with high-wall items.
After dishwasher use, traces of dishwasher detergent may be left on the bottom, as this reacts with the aluminium during the cycle. Discoloration of the aluminium base from dishwashing detergents will not affect the product’s performance and is not covered under warranty.
Silver-like stains may appear on the stove-top from products with an aluminium base. These stains can be removed by using a cleaning agent suitable for the cooker’s hob.
Stainless steel will discolor and oxidize after the application of heat. Any stainless-steel cleaner can be used to restore the stainless-steel – we like Barkeeper's Friend, Bon Ami, and other baking-soda based products. You can also create a paste from baking soda and water to restore your stainless steel's shine.
